The initial project entailed installing 699 solar panels across one of our main buildings. This initiative successfully generated a staggering 230’000 kWh/yr of clean electricity. The big next step was to install a field installation on the company premises, already generating a massive 1’150’000 kWh/yr and spanning an impressive 8,800 square meters.
Building on this triumph, in 2023, we are installing more solar panels on the remaining halls at our Erwitte plant, which should yield an additional 870’000 kWh/yr of renewable power.
This project is another great step in the right direction to reduce our carbon footprint and optimise energy consumption, and just one of the many initiatives underway at IMI Hydronic Engineering as we continue our journey to Net Zero by 2040. As a key stakeholder in the HVAC industry, we are determined to advance the vision of a carbon-neutral sector actively. We are committed to helping build a better and sustainable world through our actions.
