Enayati Medical City

Bucharest, Romania -

The combined solution will allow Enayati Medical City to maintain an optimal indoor environment, keeping its users comfortable and, most importantly, safe.

The medical city houses a variety of medical specialties, from oncology to elderly care. The Hydronic Engineering team won the project in April 2019 and finalized it in April 2021.

The Project

The project is the largest private medical project in Romania to date. The medical city opened its doors in 2021. It is made up of 5 floors, making up a total of 35,000 m2. The medical city houses a variety of medical specialties, from oncology to elderly care. The Hydronic Engineering team won the project in April 2019 and finalized it in April 2021.

The Hydronic Challenge

A key challenge of this project was the size of the medical city and the variety of medical care units that have strict indoor conditions requirements. As a result, the system needed to have various outputs while maintaining optimal balance and pressure. A mix of products and solutions would be required, increasing the challenge as it would be essential to have all these parts working in unison and optimally.

The Solution

For the Hydronic Team to provide an efficient and optimal solution, they worked with the design team from the very beginning to make sure the project got off to the right start. Due to the strict indoor conditions required in the healthcare industry, a mix of radiators, underfloor heating, fan coil units and air handling units, allowing for optimal control and efficiency across various parts of the system.

To ensure proper pressurisation of this high demand system, the Hydronic Team opted for installing an IMI Pneumatex Transfero TV Connect, a pressure maintenance solution with pumps and vacuum degassing that is particularly suitable for applications where high performance, compact design and precision are essential. It also protects the system by preventing corrosion guaranteeing the longevity of the system.

From the IMI TA range, the team decided that the best solution would be to install various products that would ensure system control and precision. They chose to use TA-Compact-DP, TA-Compact-P and TA-Modulator in combination with TA-Slider to have accurate control in terms of temperature and flow. To further ensure optimal balance, they installed STAD and STAF valves. This choice allows for simple balancing and maintenance of the system, which is critical for a hospital. Finally, due to the size and needs of the building, the system needed to regulate two different regimes, so the team opted for a CV 316 valve.

The combined solution will allow Enayati Medical City to maintain an optimal indoor environment, keeping its users comfortable and, most importantly, safe.
