IMI Hydronic Engineering's Sustainable Shift in North America

Transitioning to Bio-Degradable Packaging

In line with our ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility, IMI Hydronic Engineering has implemented a noteworthy change at our packaging and shipping facilities in Dallas, USA. A strategic move towards reducing plastic usage and waste, this transition involves the adoption of bio-degradable bags, underscoring our dedication to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2040.

Previously, IMI Flow-Design utilized approximately 9,000 conventional plastic bags weekly, contributing to landfill waste. The shift to bio-degradable bags sourced from construction sites across the country has proven instrumental in mitigating the accumulation of non-biodegradable waste. Notably, these new bags naturally break down within six months when placed in a standard rubbish bin.

In conjunction with this packaging initiative, IMI Hydronic Engineering is actively pursuing the elimination of all non-reusable plastics at our Dallas offices, emblematic of a broader operational shift towards sustainability.

This project is one of several initiatives across the company, collectively contributing to reducing our environmental impact.
