Iconova Building
One of the biggest residential developments in Turkey’s Anatolia region, Iconova combines luxury accommodation and commercial spaces in one unique city location.
The Challenge
The sheer scale of the project, combined with the developer's demand for a high-performing HVAC solution, meant this was a particularly challenging task for our experts. Close collaboration between the main contractor, Acarsan Holding, the IMI Turkey Sales team and our Engineering Support Centre (ESC) from the planning stage onwards played a significant part in its success.
The Solution
Specifying hydronic balancing technologies and product sizes that would deliver optimal efficiency was the first stage of the process. Our ESC carried out a detailed hydronic calculation with the aim of distinguishing the minimum required system pump head. The process also helped identify the index circuit, correct product sizing and the ideal location of the pump sensors to guarantee the most efficient and high-performing configuration.
Once that specification had been agreed, a bespoke solution encompassing a range of leading-edge balancing technologies was delivered, including Pressure Independent Balancing and Control Valves, Differential Pressure Controllers and Thermostatic Radiator Valves. It would ensure the installation delivered energy-efficient performance, extensive diagnostic capabilities and a range of features that would protect and extend the lifespan of the system.
